Bill Bennett was the Cinematographer for this commercial for Acura. Steve Beck of ILM Commercials was the Director. ILM also did all the post production work as well. Some of the ramps were actually created on location at a dry lake bed near Las Vegas, Nevada, and some were created via CGI. In all cases, except when the car is very small in frame, we actually photographed the car that appears in the final piece. Though you see it all the time now, there was a prohibition to promoting two different products in the same commercial at the time, so it was quite novel to see the tie-in between Acura and Hot Wheels.
